Workshop and Training Manager - Cambridgeshire

We are seeking an experienced Medical Engineer to join our team immediately to assist with the establishment of new Medical Device Repair Workshop and also to support the development of our Medical Engineering Apprenticeship Training Programme.

You will be based out of newly refurbished facilities in Kimbolton in which has been set up a fully equipped medical engineering workshop.  You will be  joining a highly dynamic team seeking to lead in its chosen field of independent multi vendor services within the next two years.

The objective of the role is to assist with ongoing development of the workshop.  We have just secured the first stage of our ISO Quality Registration, we now need to fully implement the working practices and protocols that will support our registration.  This is a very rare blank sheet opportunity to design a medical devices technical support facility as you best see fit.  We already have a number of contracts with hospitals around the UK whereby we are delivering a return to base repair facility.  You will be directly invoiced with repair and routine maintenance of all types of medical equipment.   Ensuring equipment is maintained to the highest standards and returned to clients promptly, ready for the next batch of equipment to worked on. 

The role will you to be able to work as part of a team, using your own initiative and leadership skills that will provide high levels of client satisfaction and at the same time driving the business forward by delivering unparalleled professionalism and client satisfaction.

The second part of the role will be supporting our recognised Apprenticeship Training programme.  Working in conjunction with our Training Director you will assist in the delivery and development of our training programmes.  Liaising with our accreditation body to ensure that educational standards are met whilst also ensuring we keep fully ahead of the latest training requirement in the sector. 

The successful candidate will be a recognised medical engineer who can offer at least five years experience of working first hand with medical equipment here in the UK.  In addition you will have a passion for quality and professionalism and want to join an organsiation where you feel you can make a significant contribution to its growth and success.
