Junior Software Engineer - West Midlands

This leading clinical manufacturer and biological research company are expanding, and now require a Junior Software Engineer to join their dynamic team.

Your main responsibilities will be to assist the team in the design, development, test and control of the release of new software applications and modules, in order to maximise user experience in biomedical and clinical applications.

The ideal candidate will be familiar with .NET using C# and Visual Basic.

Some experience with the following languages is preferred but not essential: VB.Net, WPF, XAML (Visual Studio, Windows 10), and C++.

You must be able to apply your analytical skills to deftly troubleshoot and resolve development issues as they arise. You must be flexible in your ability to effectively deal with varying workloads, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and document software.
  • Support formal validation of products.
  • Contribute to design decisions and discussions with project teams.
  • Be involved in all aspects of the product development lifecycle from requirements capture through to product release and support.

Qualifications:    The successful candidate will have a high level of academic ability and a BSc in Computer Science.

Permanent position. Based in the West Midlands.

Salary up to £40,000 doe + benefits.
